Original vintage ice cream trade industry magazine article for HOWDY DOODY ICE CREAM MAKES ITS DEBUT With an Extensive Fleet of Street Trucks in Nassau and Queens Counties of the Metro New York Area.  60 ice cream trucks are rolling through the streets of Queens and Nassau Counties building volume through the magic of a famous TV name and the influence of children in the purchase of ice cream.  Pictured are the men behind Ice Cream Enterprises, Inc. who operate the Howdy Doody fleet, Arthur Hersch, President and Martin Hersch, Secretary.  Howdy Doody pint packages designed with the Howdy Doody show characters by Bloomer Brothers Company, Sundae Cup by American Paper Goods  Company.  Part of the fleet at headquarters at 307 Font Street, Hempstead, Long Island whose mechanically refrigerated bodies were built by Amerio Refrigeration Equipment Company of Union City, NJ, Compressors are by Copeland and Plates by Dole. 

Ice cream confections include Fudge Doodle, Pop Doodle, Cream Doodle, Ice Doodle, Twin Ice Doodle, Twin Fudge Doodle.
