This ad features a photograph taken in 1865, showing nitro-glycerin in storage at the Roberts & Company Torpedo Glycerin factory, Bradford, PA. Pictured in the insert is Wanda Nason, the fourth generation of Nasons to be concerned with the production of Pennsylvania Grade Crude Oil. Charles Nason, father of Wanda, is the foreman on a lease at the old oil town of Gusher, PA. Old 1940 oil advertisement.
