The maintenance of proper humidity at all times in the press room has a definite effect on webs, paper, rolls and ink, assures a better looking, sharper, blacker sheet with snappier halftones. Humidification decidedly reduces the tendency to produce static. Proper conditioning of rolls of paper means a reduction in the number of web breaks. The economy of ink from 10 to 25% is affected.
