The printed text of this volume of journals draws on material entered by Allen Ginsberg in twelve notebooks and related separate pages from June 1954 through mid July 1958. In terms of his major poems, it represents the period from his entering the Bay Area, where within approximately a year he'd write HOWL, through his first trips to the Arctic and to North Africa and Europe, when he made brief early notations that would culminate several years later in the completed KADDISH. This book is in VG condition. Pages are clean and intact, and the binding is tight. It would make a sensational addition to any library!
