Protective waterproof papers for use by industry were first made by Angier in 1895. These papers are made on the laminated principle, two or more layers of craft paper with a special type of asphalt binder and waterproofing agent. Angier pioneered the waterproof paper business in this country and has developed many of the standard grades now in use. In addition, Angier has developed many special grades and finishes for particular applications. There is no one waterproof paper which can be used for all wrapping purposes. Angier's business has been devoted exclusively to the manufacture of papers as required by industry for specific purposes. A full line of standard weights, strengths and finishes available.
