Manufacturers of the 'Bear Cat' Automatic Driller.
The Sensitive Strain Gauge Diaphragm Unit is mounted on the dead line and has two hose connections to the Control Unit. The Pneumatic Signal received at the controller is compared to the set weight control. When weight has drilled off to the set point the controller actuates to send an operating pressure to the Power Unit. This unit powers a cable connected to, and rising, the brake lever. When release of the drilling line drum has been initiated, motion of the drum flange against the friction wheel of the Feed Back Unit causes rotary motion of the shaft. This motion generates a pneumatic signal back to the Controller Unit causing immediate partial braking action. The Feed-Back Unit is in an overriding position with respect to the Diaphragm Unit and is responsible for the close weight regulation maintained.
Has product image, illustration, description, application and operation provide product details.
Unbound from a large rare 1970-1971 Composite Catalog, this unique old one-page technical brochure would display beautifully matted and framed. Nice graphics. A fabulous addition to your retro oilfield petroleum industry library.
