The 3-Axle Tandems are especially advantageous on large paving projects because of the time and money saved by the elimination of corrective rolling. Owners report that these rollers have the capacity of two standard machines. The Portable 3-4 ton Tandem is a very useful roller for patching and jobs at considerable distance from each other. This machine is a standard two-roll tandem which can be mounted on pneumatic tires and towed behind a motor truck. It delivers up to 180 pounds compression per linear inch.
