Precision tungsten carbide castings by the Carbide Manufacturing Company gives a unique combination of hardness and toughness for maximum resistance to all three; abrasion, erosion and corrosion. They have been proved and used by many manufacturers of oil tool, refinery and industrial products and in maintenance use wherever extreme wear, abrasion, stress, shock or impact makes replacement often necessary and maintenance difficult. Tolerances that can be held in working with tungsten carbide depend to some extent on the size and shape of the part, however, in sizes most commonly ordered, tolerances of +/- .005 can be held on critical dimensions.
