Products include .     The process of Chapmanizing involves the addition of nitrogen into iron base alloys by heating the metal in the presence of a nitrogenous material. While Chapmanizing is by no means a universal panacea, yet it compels consideration for use where extreme hardness and wear resistance are essential, where corrosion resistance to hot gases and ordinary atmosphere are prime requisites, and for non-deforming properties during the hardening process.  The Chapmanizing process is being successfully used in the treatment of such materials as machine tool parts, operating parts for typewriters, vacuum cleaners, sewing machines, washing and ironing machines, textile machinery parts, bolts and nuts, dies and die blocks, electrical switch parts, worms, gears, cams, automotive parts such as timing gears, wrist and piston pins, chucks, lathe centers, ring and plug gauges, bushings, shafts, nozzles, also miscellaneous hardware requiring extreme surface hardness.
