Original 1936 truck trade vintage catalog for the CONTINENTAL-DIVCO COMPANY. (Subsidiary of Continental Motors Corp). Main office and plant was located at 12801 East Jefferson Avenue, Detroit, MI.
Manufacturers of Divco Milk Delivery Trucks.
The Pioneer manufacturer of Patented special-type gasoline trucks designed especially for multiple-stop house-to-house milk delivery. The first Divco was introduced over seven years ago. The only manufacturer building trucks for milk delivery exclusively. Because of this manufacturer's long experience with the special requirements of house-to-house milk delivery vehicles, the present Divco truck embodies many special features of design and rugged construction. Hundreds of Divco fleets are now in operation. These many thousands of Divcos have proved to be highly efficient, very economical vehicles to operate and maintain. These trucks have a record of many years of low daily operating performance. House-to-house milk delivery routes average 100 to 400 starts and stops per day. This service places a heavy demand on clutch, motor, breaks, gasoline consumption, daily and yearly maintenance. The average milk load is very heavy, requiring more than usual strength and body, chassis and all parts.
Has product images, description, application and specifications to provide product details.
Unbound from a large rare 1936 Dairy Industry Equipment Catalog, this unique old one-page technical brochure would display beautifully matted and framed. Nice graphics. A fabulous addition to your retro dairy truck library.
