The notable collection of prints which comprises this book were taken from what is perhaps the definitive collection of Currier and Ives, that of Mr. Harry T. Peters. Mr. Peters started collecting the Currier and Ives prints when he was an office boy in downtown New York and since that time he assiduously pursued the prints wherever they might be found, in any part of the world. He became director of twelve corporations, but his major interest was his print collection and in his duties as Master of the Fox Hounds for the Meadow Brook Club of Hempstead, Long Island, New York.
This book is in VG condition, with the pages clean and intact, and the binding is tight. Previous owner's nameplate inside front cover. The dust jacket is faded, soiled and very torn.
