Dicalite Filteraids are processed from exceptionally pure deposits of diatomaceous silica. 'Acicular' and 'elongated' diatoms predominate in the structure of the particles. Because of this particular formation, Dicalite Filteraides give the filter cake greater yet finer porosity, affording higher (faster) flow rates with brilliant clarity of the filtrate. Longer filtration cycles and greater liquor volume per cycle increased filtration capacity and thus production and reduce costs'.
