Manufacturers of Well Screens.  Johnson Screens Can Be Developed.

Development of well screens in sand and gravel formations is a new and practical idea apply to an old problem. It is accomplished by removing the fine material such as silt, clay, alluvium and find sand from around the screen and replacing it with the coarser particles of the formation, thus creating a 'naturally gravel packed' well. Wells constructed by those methods are free from sand pumping or clogging of the screens. They require no additional gravel from time to time as the formation around the screen is stabilized as the well is constructed and developed. Johnson Screens permit a well to be developed to its maximum yield as the slot openings are continuously and V-shaped and the area around the intake opening is evenly distributed over the entire surface of the screen. Ordinarily screens will not permit a well to be thoroughly developed because of irregular distribution of intake openings.
