The Eversman is an automatic field leveler that handles dirt in a different way, taking all of the dirt through the machine instead of drifting it to the side. By this method, a perfect plane-table surface is produced by moving only the minimum required amount of dirt, thereby saving cost and weight of equipment and power and time on the job. The grader blade is suspended on a movable sub-frame, balanced with springs and connected to the wheels through an eccentric axle in such a way that when the wheels go onto the high place, the blade automatically lowers to gather a load; when the wheels go into a low place, the blade raises to release enough dirt to fill, leaving enough extra to allow for settling. Both actions are positive and automatic and this machine will level dirt down to a fine point impossible to accomplish in any other way. The front end rides on a 'V' shaped buster blade, the center on the wheels and the rear on a curved smoother blade which extends over the wheel tracks.
