Flexweight, a patented two-tube drill stem member, is especially designed for use in compression between the drill pipe and the short drill collar string. Flexweight lets you reach optimum bit weight and penetration rates without the use of excessively long, potentially troublesome, drill collar strings in the toughest conditions with a vibration damping characteristic that lengthens the life of the entire drill string. This drill stem member lets you maintain the penetration rate by allowing optimum bit weights and rotary speed in the toughest wells and connection features are virtually eliminated. In directional drilling, Flexweight helps maintain the desired angle, eliminates key seating problems and prevents lateral drift while allowing optimum bit weight and rotary speeds.
