Ford Sunglas HR features a low emittance, pyrolytic coating applied to the surface of the glass during the manufacturing process. This coating is an actual part of the glass itself and won't crack or peel. Sunglas HR may be combined with a clear or tinted outer layer to form an energy efficient insulating barrier that keeps heat outside in summer and inside in winter. A double insulating unit, combining Sunglas HR and an outer panel, may weigh 1/3 less than a triple glazed product, while performing almost as well.
