  • General Iron Steel Corp 1941 vintage municipal catalog Zone Marking

Original 1941 municipal trade vintage catalog for the GENERAL IRON & STEEL CORPORATION.  Main office was located at 276 Lafayette Street, New York, NY.

Manufacturers of GISCO Zone Marking Machine and Rollawn Maintenance Roller, both are fully featured.

The GISCO Zone Marker will paint a single traffic mark 2 to 8 inches wide, pressure for painting being provided by a specially designed pump driven by a 1-horsepower gas engine without gauges or relief valve. One position of the lever discharges the paint through the flat disc, causing the paint to issue in uniform spray, the thickness of which is determined by the operator through a simple valve. The reverse position of the lever causes the paint to flow in the opposite direction throughout the system, thus clearing the disc and supply line of paint, and preventing drip. The machine is mounted on three wheels, with eight inch General Tires and inner tubes, and the chassis is of all-welded steel construction. The paint lines are of airplane fuel-line material covered with synthetic rubber, and are metal lined and equipped with fittings for easy removal. The steel paint tank has a capacity of 6 gallons and has a concave bottom and a top with removable strainer.

Has product images, description, application and specifications provide product details.

Unbound from a large rare 1941-1942 Municipal Index Catalog, this unique old one-page technical brochure would display beautifully matted and framed. Nice graphics. A fabulous addition to your retro road construction and maintenance library.
