Kaolinite is the mineralogical name for white china clay. Large deposits of this mineral are found in the southeastern portion of the State of Georgia. Kaolin, as it is also known, is a finely divided hydrated aluminum silicate, is non-toxic, non-abrasive, insoluble and non-hygroscopic.
