Alberene Stone is a selected grade of natural soapstone. It is the standard of excellence for all laboratory table tops, shelving, splashbacks, sinks, drainboards and fume hoods. The stone is available in two varieties. The first is Regular Grade the standard type of material known to chemists for over 75 years period the second, Grade 25, has also been available for many years. Both are natural quarried stones which are highly resistant to chemical attack. Both have a dense fine uniform grain structure without cleavage planes (stratification). Both stones are absolutely homogeneous except for an occasional vein which is warranted to be sound. This type of structure permits accurate machining for any desired purpose with absence of splitting, chipping or spalling. Joints are made liquid & gas tight and germ-proof for first class construction'.
