Haveg Equipment is molded from a mixture of special acid-digested asbestos and a synthetic phenol-formaldehyde resin. This composition has strength, toughness and durability, together with excellent corrosion resistance. Its chemical resistance is not merely a surface condition but exists throughout the entire mass of the material. Haveg is produced by loading the carefully mixed ingredients issue molds and subjecting them to heat and pressure. The process differs, however, from conventional molding processes, with the result that the molds may be structured very lightly and cheaply. This permits the production of large size equipment, molded and single pieces without seams or joints and at very low cost. Tanks can be produced in one seamless piece as large as 10 feet in diameter by 12 feet in depth.
