Hydro-Test tools are dependable and proven with years of experience in testing tubular goods world wide. The testing tool assembly stays inside the pipe being tested and sits on special strips preventing the tool from going down hole. The pipe can be tested coming out or going in. Testing going in, is the preferred method, as the pipe is tested with the weight of the threads as would be condition under under many well situations. The tool is not stabbed each time but is retrieved with the testing unit own winch line and pulled to the surface. The testing hole is next plugged into the tool. The tool is pressurized by the testing unit and pressure locked in by a valve.  An ultra sensitive compound gauge records the loss on only a few drops of water indicating thread leaks, holes, corrosion pits, etc.
