Monogard is applied onto conventional building materials such as plywood, cement asbestos board and hardboard, under heat and pressure, forming a hard chemically inert monolithic layer of protection on either one or both sides of the substrate. Essentially, mono guard cladding consists of two protective layers, the first protective layer being an acrylic modified polyester gel coating of 10 mills and the second, referred to as the strength layer, a 10 mil deposition of specially pigmented polyester resin reinforced with glass matting. Products include the HC and FHC series, the C series with asbestos, F&S series, P series, H series, and Jandura, all are fully featured.
