The Klampon Thread Protector is unique in its simplicity, consisting of a high strength alloy steel band molded inside an oil resistant neoprene protector. An adjustable cam-type latch assembly provides a fast, effortless locking and unlocking of the protector around the external threads of the casing. Incorporated in the latch handle is a spiral hook which is used to return the protector assembly from the derrick.
