Manufacturers of Lamb Solid Pistons for the Oilfields.
The Lamb Solid Piston is the original conception and construction with all modern improvements to date. The piston design now universally recognized and preferred and otherwise is much superior to all other by reason of its Meehanite core and special compounded rubber and binders.
The efficiency of the line contact afforded alone by lips is forming to the earliest Lamb Piston, is now generally established. Combined with later developments of construction and materials which effectively support these lips, as in the present preferred model, they not only assure maximum and immeasurably better service, but also protect pump liners from the abrasive action of sand and/or cutting in the fluid; the lips constantly wiping the liner clean much the same as a window squeegee functions on a glass surface. As lip expansion and seal is provided by the discharge resistance, load or pressure, it is always in the direct proportion there too. For handling hot oil as distinct from mud slush, a special oil-resisting compound is used, making these pistons practically immune to the ordinary destructive action of such service. The exclusive characteristics of this oil-resisting compound represent the cumulative experience of 20 years in our own laboratories.
