A complete, accurate record of all temperatures that are vital to the continuous operation of the electrical central station is easily obtained. Whether the detectors are of the thermocouple or resistance type, there is a Leeds & Northrup multiple point recorder to fit the conditions.

The temperature at several points in the windings of a generator, and at the inlet and outlet for the venting air, can all be recorded on the same chart. An automatic alarm indicates when the temperature at any point goes higher than its safe value. An accompanying light signal designates the location of the hotspot.  It is hardly necessary to add that temperatures and cables, ducts and transformers can be recorded to advantage in the same manner.
