The reinforced concrete sewer pipe manufactured by the Newark Concrete Pipe Company is usually made with a 1: 2: 4 mix, but where greater strength and increased density are needed, the proportions can be varied to meet any reasonable requirements. Similarly, standard reinforcement used takes care of a pipe up to a cover of 20 to 30 feet, but where conditions require a stronger pipe, additional reinforcement can be used.
