This ultra modern Chicago store has a unique setup There is a Galss Partition that separates the shop from the factory so customers can see and hear the factory in operation. The shop is modern in every detail from the huge front windows to the back door, with many new ideas in display, un ultra new interior, swank fixtures, fluorescent lighting and easy to find stock arrangement. Mr Optowsky, Sr founded the modest shop in 1918 that he still operates. Mannie joined his dad in 1936 to learn the business. After serving 4 years with the US Navy he relocated the machinery with the purpose of manufacturing only sample cases so his dad could devote all his time to the retail outlet. Business continued to grow, and the new modern store is now a showroom for a select line of luggage and leather goods and personal leatherware. Included is the feature line made by ABC.
