Original 1960 insulation trade vintage catalog for the PITTSBURGH CORNING CORPORATION. Main office was located at One Gateway Center, Pittsburgh, PA.
Manufacturers of Industrial Insulation.
Products include:
- FOAMGLAS - A vapor-proof, lightweight, rigid insulation for use throughout the chemical process industries. Its strength and insulation value lie in its cellular glass structure. In a cubic inch of foam glass there are millions of tiny hermetically sealed glass cells, each and insulating space. This unique all-glass insulation is incombustible, vermin-proof, acid-proof, and easily applied for use over a wide temperature range (-450°F to +800°F). FOAMGLAS is ideally suited for insulation for piping and equipment of many kinds under various conditions.
- FOAMSIL - A material with certain inherent properties which make it especially suited to specific insulation and refractory applications. FOAMSIL is 99% pure fused silica glass. Silica is silicone dioxide, a mineral well known for its dense, hard and durable properties. In addition, silica has a high melting point and does not react with common acids.
Has product images, description, applications and specifications to provide product details.
Unbound from a large rare 1960 Process Industries Catalog, this unique old four-page technical brochure would display beautifully matted and framed. Nice graphics. A fabulous addition to your retro industrial insulation library. Pages are loose.
