The Rodney Hunt Turbo-Film Processor employees a mechanically aided thin-film technique which provides a number of important processing advantages. Processing is accomplished continuously and rapidly in a single pass. Relatively small amounts of product are in process at any given moment. The thin film, under mechanical agitation, promotes good mass transfer and such applications as stripping, desolventization or reaction. It also permits processing of very viscous materials at high heat transfer rates. Extremely low retention time of the product in the thermal section makes the Turba-Film Processor ideal for heat sensitive materials.
