Calsilite, a molded insulation designed for use on high temperature steam lines and equipment, can withstand a soaking heat of 1250° F indefinitely with no appreciable efficiency loss. This lightweight, highly efficient thermal insulating material; a calcium silicate compound combined with asbestos fibers and other selective materials, is equally suitable for steam lines and commercial buildings as well as process and power steam lines carrying high pressures. Calsilite is not soluble in water, normal acids or alkali and may be used where excessive moisture conditions prevail.
