Original vintage architectural trade magazine ad for SCHWEIZER AND WEST MANUFACTURING COMPANY of Chicago, IL.  Manufacturers of Fine Interior Woodwork.  An Unintentional Compliment.  A hardwood lumber concern used a view in the Council Chamber of the Chicago City Hall to illustrate its idea of beautiful mahogany and gave a competitor of our credit for doing the work.  All of the wood used in this most elegant of public spaces is imported English Oak and the work was done by Schweizer & West Manufacturing Company.  Old 1912 building construction advertisement.
