Even war can bring out much that is good. The gauging of thin mica sheets threatened to be a production bottleneck. Fingers, highly trained by the Braille system, we called upon to replace mechanical gauges and slower vision. The fingers responded.  Today, a group of blind employees at Solar are gauging mica quicker and more accurately than ever achieved before. They and their seeing-eye dogs bring unusual talents to the production front.
