This book is the exciting account of the Tarzan films, from 1918-1968. It is a history in depth of the Tarzan epic, and reveals the backstage machinations in the production of each Tarzan picture; the rivalry between various film-makers for the film rights to the Apeman; and the sometimes hilarious, and sometimes tragic events that took place during production; there are profiles of all the actors who have essayed the role of Apeman and comparisons of their approaches to the role.
More than 400 pictures, some of them extremely rare, appear throughout the text.
This book is in Good condition, with the pages intact, and the binding is tight. Some of the pages at the back of the book are soiled at the bottom and side edge. The back cover was exposed to moisture at some point. The pages are not warped. A previous owner's name inside the front cover has been marked out with a black marker. The dust jacket is torn, soiled, and chipped.
Hard to find book. A must have for any Tarzan fan!!
