The Vickers Heavy-Duty Long Stroke Hydraulic Pumping Unit is a basically simple hydraulic mechanism that efficiently actuates the conventional sucker rod string and subsurface pump at a constant rate and with shockless controlled reversals. It employs compressed air as a counterbalance medium and features the air-oil counterbalance assembly. The principal function of this exclusive feature is to separate the counterbalance air from the hydraulic oil. This pumping unit is equipped with pressure and temperature controls, automatic counterbalance air make-up controls and low-level oil cut-off switch. These control devices assure full protection of the various components under both normal and abnormal operating conditions. The pumping unit is protected against such operational mishaps as bottom hole pump sticking, sucker rod parting, bottom hole pump sanding up, etc.
