Products include Bitumastic Enamel (Applied Hot), which is fully featured.  A solid, black productive coating, compounded from a purified coal tar base, to which are added other suitable materials. It is applied hot over a coat of Bitumastic Priming Solution to the thickness of usually 1/16th of an inch. It hardens immediately. Three grades are manufactured to suit varying conditions. The Bitumastic Enamels were first developed over 80 years ago to protect certain interior sections of ships. Subsequently they were used for pipe line protection and today many thousands of miles of steel oil and gas pipelines, steel and cast iron water and sewer pipelines are protected against corrosion by these products. Bitumastic Enamels have been used all over the world on underground and underwater structures. Their performance record is unexcelled.
