The primary purpose of the 'Con-Cor' process is a means to obtain accurate, uncontaminated geological samples.  The 'Con Cor' process utilizes a dual tube drill pipe. The drilling fluid or air is pumped down the outer tube of the drill pipe and returned up the inner tube, bringing either cores and cuttings from the core bit, or cuttings from a regular three-cone type rotary rock bit. This process has proven, in every exploration drilling program in which it has been used, that it will produce complete uncontaminated geological information. When drilling with a core bit, the cores are broken at approximately 5-inch intervals and pumped to the surface through the inner tube. The cuttings from the core bit are also pumped to the surface at the same time, furnishing both cores and cuttings, which give the geologist complete information, even in fractured, hard-to-core areas. The standard core is 2 1/8 inch diameter, cut with a 4 7/8 inch diameter bit.
