Manufacturers of Chlorine Control Equipment.
In the last few years, the use of chlorine in the treatment of sewage has developed rapidly. Sewage chlorination is no longer considered a health measure alone. It has very distinct economic advantages, it is regarded as an investment bringing large returns, and reduced operating expenses and savings in plant equipment. The quantity of chlorine needed for sewage treatment varies widely with the purpose for which it is used, the chlorine demand of the sewage and the flow. Because of the wide variations in sewage flow from hour to hour, automatic coronation is highly desirable and is usually most economical. Best results can be obtained by regulation of chlorine dosage to produce the desired chlorine residual. Solution fed coronation has been known to be more economical of chlorine used and less subject to operating difficulties than direct feed chlorination.
