Wooster Safety Plates are fabricated from high quality grey iron with abrasive grit anti-slip integrally cast into metal matrix to a depth of 1/16th inch. This surface can be furnished, plain or cross-hatched, to meet engineers requirements. All plates are engineered to suit job requirements, from 3/8 to 3/4 inch thickness as designed. When required, ribs are cast parallel to the shortest edge for greater load carrying capacity, size and number of ribs in accordance with recognized engineering standards.

Wooster Safety Treads are designed to eliminate all slipping hazards. Wooster Safety Treads may be used on all types of stairs, new or old, on cement, either recessed or superimposed, on sheet-pan filled stairs, as self-supporting on steel stairs with or without toe plates, on wood, marble or any other services. The primary reason for installing any safety trade is safety, and safety should be the first consideration in all designs of any walkway.
